Invisalign Treatment

How does Invisalign treatment work?

The Invisalign system is fast, comfortable and nearly invisible.

The Invisalign system works with the use of invisible aligners. Whilst undergoing your treatment you will be given a series of removable teeth aligners. You will be given a new set of Invisalign aligners every two weeks. They will be gradually adjusted in shape to move your teeth closer to the desired position with each new set of aligners. Each Invisalign aligner is crafted solely for your teeth so you can be sure that your teeth will be in their perfect position by the end of your treatment.

What Do Patients Say About Invisalign?

Invisalign is so widely used that more than 3 million people have used it as a route to the perfect smile. Here are two Invisalign patients telling the story of how they changed their smile and their lives.

Invisalign Logo

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten teeth without braces. It consists of a series of clear, removable aligners that position your teeth in the desired position. No metal wires or brackets are used, and it is custom-made for comfort. So whether your teeth are crowded, too far apart or have shifted since wearing braces, you’ll have a new reason to smile.

Invisalign vs Braces

  The INVISALIGN Procedure

Upon initial examination, your doctor decides if Invisalign is right for you. Your doctor will write a treatment plan and take an impression of your teeth, which are submitted to Invisalign laboratories in the U.S. Using the latest advances in 3D computer technology, your doctor’s instructions are carefully translated into a series of precisely customized aligners. You then wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, moving your teeth, gradually week by week, millimeter by millimeter until you’ve achieved the intended result: straighter teeth. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of your case but the average is about 12 months. Because invisalign is removable, eating, brushing and flossing are no problem. You can still enjoy your favourite foods and smile without holding back. With Invisalign, there’s nothing to hide. For more information please visit www.invisalign.com

cathayslumineers3 LUMINEERS by CERINATE are contact- lens-thin porcelain shields that are bonded to the front of your teeth to create dramatic changes in your smile. Their advantage over traditional porcelain veneers is that there is no injection, no drilling and no pain as no removal of sensitive tooth structure is needed. This is because the contact-lens-thin porcelain technology provides beauty and strength while preserving your natural tooth structure. LUMINEERS can correct a wide variety of unsightly dental conditions such as tooth discoloration, gaps, permanent stains, and broken and misshapen teeth. LUMINEERS can even bond to existing crown and bridgework without having to replace them.

  The LUMINEERS Procedure

At the first visit, impressions and photos of the upper and lower teeth are taken. Sometimes, small modifications to the teeth may be necessary prior to impression taking in order to achieve the best results. The impressions are then sent to CERINATE laboratories in the U.S. Here, models of your teeth are made and individual custom-made lumineers fabricated for each tooth being treated. At the second visit, the lumineers are fitted on to the teeth with a strong patented adhesive and polished to produce a beautiful permanently white smile.
